This mask feels refreshing, I can feel all of the whole plant properties detoxing, creating more moisture, and I love that Nourishe’s products are 💯 toxin free, filled with the most nourishing ingredients that are safe enough to even eat! I know I am applying plants that have healing properties to my skin to regenerate cells, and prevent wrinkles.

So I purchased this on a whim. I didn’t quite know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. My skin was so soft and had a bit of a glow afterwards. I’m kinda excited about using it again. Another product I will share with friends and definitely purchase again.

I’ve been addicted to a few of Nourishe’s products and I had wanted to try this Kakao mask and I’m glad I did. I made the paste like the directions said and put a thin layer on. I honestly wasn’t sure about it and didn’t feel a thin layer of this “plant stuff” was going to improve my completion. I’d like to say I was VERY wrong! It was a different feeling than any kind of mask I’ve ever been exposed to. Anytime I tried other masks it just wouldn’t feel right after. My skin was either too dried out or too moisturized and not in a good way. With this mask it was a feeling of my skin coming into perfect balance. Love Love Love

This mask is in powder form. You'll have to scoop it out and do 1 part powder to 2 parts water. I'm guessing I can probably get 15-20 uses out of a single jar, it didn't take much at all to cover my entire face (you'll get less uses if you need more to also cover your neck & chest). The directions say that tingling and burning while applying is normal due to the ingredient cayenne pepper. The directions also say your face may be red after you remove this mask due to stronger blood flow (from the cayenne pepper). I experienced neither of those things. I found this to be incredibly gentle (I would've preferred the tingling). Removing the mask did give me a slight exfoliating effect due to the gritty ingredients within the mask, which I appreciated. After using this, my face is squeaky clean. It feels soft, but not overly so. I can tell I need a good moisturizing cream now.
I appreciate the all natural made in the USA ingredients. That's what became my deciding factor between a 3 and 4 star rating. Many of us are gravitating towards natural skincare these days, and if that's you then I believe you'll appreciate this. But if you're someone who uses facial masks as a sort of flash fix for instant results, then you're likely not going to appreciate this one quite as much.

This is okay, but it's hard to respect the price point as it's essentially a simple powder mask. It did make my skin soft, albeit a little dry. Based on the product description and price point, I expected something powerfully effective that delivered a tingling sensation and some pretty polished skin after use. I found this mask instead to be very mild, not even very much of an exfoliant. I had no redness or tingling at all and my skin looked about the same, maybe a little softer but also a little more dry. You'll definitely want to do a good serum/moisturizer after this treatment.

I did try this once before derma rolling and I think that was probably my favorite use for it. It seemed to prep my face really well to take the rolling and serum (I don't dry roll, so it may be different for dry rolling results). Overall while I do think this is a good mask, I'm not sure I see what the price point is about for its level of effectiveness. At this level, I expect to get into products that are going to show me some visible results, and I just didn't see that with this mask. It is a very clean product, though, so that in itself is noteworthy and deserving of consideration for a lot of beauty users.
